Why cant I see and use all the statusis for Epics?

Hi,

I'm working in Change management for BMW and I discovered that, for EPIC's I can only use ,,New", ,,IN SPECIFY", ,,PENDING" status. 

I also need to use ,,IN PROGRESS" and ,,CLOSE" because I manage this EPIC's (create and manage them until they are closed).

My colleague Rene Weber can use the status ,,IN PROGRESS" and can close an EPIC but we need it to (other colleagues in Change management project).

 Please help me to activate this status also.

Hi Bogdan,

Please let us know if you are in a Team Managed Project or Company Managed Projects. 
If you are in a Team Managed Project you would be able to verify your project's workflow and edit it. In case of Company Managed Projects, you would need a Jira Admin to verify the workflow.

Workflows can have different conditions, validations and post functions.
In your question there are many scenarios, that could cause this action. 
You may have other permissions then your collegue.  Can your collegue do other actions on the same Epic that you? Or is it another Epic?
