Why custom field description are not translated in jira data center?

When we want to translate the custom field the field name is only translated but the description is not translated.

Yes I have set the translation for the custom field. The field name is translated correctly but the description of the custom field is by default showing English  and not translated.

Can you give a screenshot of what you entered for the field name and description?

Hi,

The custom field 'task_duration' field name is changed to french launguage but the description is still showing in English.
