Why does a highlighted exclamation point appear after an automation whose last run was successful?

I had the impression that the highlighted exclamation points appearing after automations in the Automation view were indicators that the most recent run contained an error.  In this case, there were a couple of success logs after the last error log.

I saw a post in Related Community content, saying the exclamation point is about a missing condition identifying the issue.  I'm trying to correct that.
