Why does my label NOT show up in the picklist in the Edit screen?

Hi,

When i search for issues that have the label "foo", i type this as the JQL:

    labels = f....

Jira then shows "foo" as one of the choices.

However, when i edit an issue and try to change the "Labels" field, Jira does NOT

show "foo" in the picklist as i start typing the letter "f".

What am i doing wrong?  How can i get Jira to show my label in the picklist in the Edit screen?

Thanks

Do you have a lot of other labels starting with an "f"?

It's a very short list.

Even if i type in the whole string "foo", Jira does not show it in the picklist.

I noticed that for the same Jira project, the picklist will show my labels for some Jira issues, but not for other Jira issues in the same project.

So i don't understand why the behavior is inconsistent within the same Jira project.

Thanks
