Why doesn't the link to the Epic from Confluence cloud work like the other task types?

When I create an Epic from a Confluence page using the "right mouse click" function on my table, the link does not appear on Confluence or on the Epic within Jira.

 

However, the creation of other task types links as expected in both Confluence & Jira.

 

Why is the Epic creation not linking as expected?
