Dear @Leander Costa,
I have seen some installations , that were restarted once a week (or even more often). Most of those problems, that made a restart "necessary", were based on wrong memory settings of the JVM, mal - configured operating systems, crazy database settings and a zoo of plugins out-of-control.
Very rarely, upper optimizations didn't lead to a better situation. Especially on Jira 6 and earlier versions. There a restart was required.
So my advice is, check your Jira for my named problems, have a look in the log files (let the built-in Log File analyzer run) and if there everything is pretty fine, stop this periodic restarts.
So long
Thomas

Why are you restarting it? You can usually leave Jira running on servers for months. The last time I restarted the one at home was because I upgraded after it had been running for 7 months.
