Please wake up and model the BASIC, BASIC, BASIC SCRUM workflow on the surface by default.
Why have you cluttered the UI with useless crap that the rank-and-file user cares little about, and in most cases the user doesn't even have clue #1 what the features/fields/links could possibly mean.
I mean, seriously.
I have to add 'Points' as a custom field? Seriously?!?!
Why not create one tool/theme targeted at the people who actually develop and test software and another for the folks who sit around all day staring at JIRA and compiling reports for their next "why isn't this stuff done yet!" management meeting. Stuff all the useless features that sell your product in the manager's version and leave all the useful stuff in the Developer's version.
JIRA, as it stands now is a productivity KILLER for me as a developer.
Your "Feedback About" dropdown doesn't even have an item that is relevant to my feedback, that's how out of touch you are. Furthermore, I tried posting this via the feedback 'feature' and after 20min of typing I hit 'Submit' and get an 'Oops'/FU message that 'something' has gone wrong 'go talk to your admin. Really?
So I went to your 'help/feedback' page and what do I see? Again one of the most cluttered, confusing UIs I have ever seen. It has everything I don't want or care about. But what it does NOT have is a simple 'Submit feedback' button. It took me another 20 min. just to get to this page.
Are you guys running a feature factory there at Atlasian, or are you trying to create the worst UI on the planet on purpose?
To address story points, bear in mind not everyone uses story points.
Maybe ask your admin to add some automation to minimize your manual interaction with Jira.
Also maybe don't tell your management that all they do all day is stare at Jira. Just a thought.
