Why is everthing in jira an issue?

Hi

We have just started to use Jira with Greenhopper and Zephyr.
The problem is that everything is an issue, even a test case, which messes up the statistics - specially the 30 day summary.

Is there any way to configure Jira what's an issue and not?

Maybe configuring another issue type (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Defining+%27Issue+Type%27+Field+Values) would help ?

Even if I create a new type, it's still an issue which will affect the summary.
I wish I could edit the 30 day summary to control which issue types it gets affected by - it should (in my case) only be: story, task, technical task and bug.
