Hello team,
Previously when try to change the Status of a task and start typing, Jira has the functionality to auto suggest the status you want to change based on the letter you typed. But that's no more possible, when click on the status field and start typing nothing happens. Can someone please help me what could be the cause for that, cause it's hard when you have more than 20 statuses to go through all of them and search for the one you need.
Thank you in advance
Kind Regards

When you say change a status via typing, do you mean the quick action box:
^ If yes, there is a suggestion to add this to the New View - vote/follow: JRACLOUD-73787
If not, can you clarify what you mean by typing to select?

There's a few options:

Hello Stephen,
Thank you for your answer.
No it's not the case with the quick action box, the new view is OK.
It's simply about
WHEN open to view an issue
AND click on the Status field
THEN the drop down is visible with different options for Status available
AND let's say the available options are:
- open
-in progress
-done
AND current status is TO Do and you want to change it to Open
WHEN start typing "O"
THEN Jira should auto suggest and mark the Open status to be the one to select
BUT nothing happens
The thing is that this functionality was available and just stopped working some days ago.
Hope it's more clear now, please do not hesitate to ping me for any further information.
Thank you
Kind Regards
Hristina
