My "Live" status is configured to be a Resolved resolution; however, on about half of my "Live" tickets, the resolution is still "Unresolved" and half it is "Resolved". Why would this be?
If the resolution isn't being set you aren't passing through a transition that either presents the resolution field on the transition screen so the user can set it or sets it in the post function behind the scene.
The resolution field doesn't need to be set to any specific value to be considered resolved in JIRA, it just can't be empty. In an agile board it may be required to be set to 'done' to show as done on the board.
