Why isn't the issue avatar visible on a board?

I needed to update a project that was created by someone else. Before I started, I noticed the issue avatars weren't showing up on the existing Kanban board. I needed to change the workflow and decided to eliminate the other issuetypes in the project. After doing all of this as well as some other changes the avatars are still not visible.

They are visible in the issue view and filter views.

I'm starting to think the project is corrupted in some fashion. Any suggestions?

Hello @Danno

I have not seen that before.

Is this a board for a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? Software, Service, or Work Management?

If it is for a Company Managed Software project, have you tried making a copy of the board to see if the issue resolves in the copy on its own?

If it does not, can you try creating a brand new board from the same filter as the original board, and see if the issues resolves itself in the new board?

@Trudy Claspill it is a company-managed project. I've not seen this before either. Even more puzzling is that it is a standard icon. The issue persisted even when I changed the issue type to a different one. Same behavior. That's why I think it might be corrupted somehow. I haven't tried recreating the project yet to see if it persists or is a one-off. I will double-check using a different board as well.
