Why this add-on(Rich Text Gadget) isn't formally supported?

Hello,

We are using Central ALU JIRA 6.3.4.

There was a Gadget before named "Text", it could display ant text and formatted as HTML, but now it's not available.

Now I find this one --> "Rich Text Gadget".

But this add-on isn't formally supported.

I need know the reason, and I'm very appreciated if somebody can provide an appropriate gadget.

Allowing your users to create an arbitrary text that can accept anything is a big security risk. I can list out all the risks here but you can find them easily online.
