The jira epic page had a plus button at the very top of the ticket list that allowed you to quickly add new items to the epic. Now Atlassian has added a very unnecessary change where the ticket type is now no longer aligned with the ticket types of the already made tickets but it's now on the opposite side of the page? This is especially frustrating since the dropdown doesn't default to the most common item (for me it's software task). Instead it defaults to first item in alphabetical order. And now it's hard to notice. Why?
Hi @jackz, sorry you're experiencing a less than desirable change. I don't have any direct insight into the UI difference you specifically reported, or any of the other changes Atlassian regularly makes, except to say that in Cloud software - change is inevitable and frequent!
I'm still updating instances of "JIRA" to "Jira" in my content and trying to train my brain to call database records "work items" instead of "issues." (This is taking me a while!) And soon, we'll be calling Jira "projects" Jira "spaces"!
