Work Time Calendar OAuth Problems

Has anyone figured out how to get Work Time to work consistently? I keep having OAuth problems and even after multiple emails with Brizoit (the developers) and trying to set up the OAuth consent screen in the Google API console, I can't get it to connect using OAuth at all now.

I believe I have enabled the Google popup, and I set it up as "external" in the google console, but still nothing. This is ridiculously time-consuming for something that is supposed to save me time.  Any ideas?
