In the work progress tracking section, I have an issue or let's call it a question: At levels above Epic, like Initiative how do we see % roll up of the Epics and Stories reflected correctly? It is just showing me that my Initiative is in progress whole in one colour (blue in my case). Shouldn't it reflect the colour and % as per the stories and epics statuses rolled up?

Hi @Saurabh Chaudhary

In relation to roll-ups and seeing estimates / percentage complete, see these pages for how these work:

Just to note, the Progress column mentioned in the second page is a Field you can add to your Roadmap.

There's also some details on this help page for what various icons and symbols mean which has some related information.

Beyond this, if you wanted to have Fields which hold this information within your "Field Columns" - you'd need to have this information in Custom Fields within relevant hierarchical Issue Types.

I have seen this done natively using Automation, but it was quite complex.

Thanks @Stephen WrightStephen Wright _Elabor8 !

Just one question on the 2nd page Progress (Days) field, this one seems to be driven by the Estimated Work and Work logged.

If the teams are estimating in Story Points and marking the Issue Statuses as In Progress or Done, is there any way of showing that as the progress parameter? Or as you said that can only be solved through complex automation?

Hi @Saurabh Chaudhary

It should change depending on the estimation type you have chosen for your Plan - so if you have it set to Story Points, that is the metric which will be used in the progress view.

The image on the help page is just an example :)

Hi @Saurabh Chaudhary

We have had multiple requests for this feature at minware, and are currently working on a solution to solve for this. We would love to discuss requirements if you are open to it.

Our plug and play dashboard combines version control, ticketing, and calendar data to automate reporting and we have just launched a new predictive roadmap in addition to our sprint insights reports.

Our roadmap can be broken down by epic, or task assignee, and you can expand each epic to view the progress of stories or tasks if that is of interest to you. We also provide visibility into dependencies and weigh weekends to help make your product roadmap as reliable as possible. Our next step is finding a solution to the issue you are are describing.
