Workflow Schemes showing as active when there are no projects associated

Mark Crocker

I have an issue where one of my Workflow schemes is active even though there are no projects associated to it.

This means I cannot delete it and it is just stuck in Active. I have had to rename the scheme to Z - Delete but this is not ideal.

Any ideas?

Hello @Mark Crocker

Thank you for reaching out.

A workflow scheme can only be active if you have a project using that scheme. If your workflow scheme does not display any project at the configuration page (Under Settings > Issues > Workflow schemes), I believe you might have some project(s) in your trash that might be related to your scheme.

We have a bug report related to this problem:

Project name isn't displayed on workflow scheme if on trash

To work around this problem, you must click in the cog icon at the top-right corner > Projects > Trash and delete the related projects, or restore them and remove the link with your workflow scheme.

PLEASE be careful when doing this, as all the data deleted this way is impossible to recover.

Additionally, feel free to vote and watch the bug to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

Let us know if you have any questions.

This was the issue. It's now resolved.

It really was a time sink so I'll upvote that bug for sure.
