I have on my instance a Workflow Screen that is listed as a system default.
I'm not sure where that workflow is coming from but I'm curious to know where.
More importantly there seems to be a significant number of customized fields that have been applied to this workflow. I inherited this instance and am in the process of trying to clean it up.
My question is -- is there any reason to expect customized fields to be applied to a default screen/screen scheme? Could this be from an add-on line Bonfire? Is there someplace (couldn't find it in confluence) that you list the default Fields, Screens, Issues, Tasks?
Hi Tom,
Caveat: we have a download system, not on-demand.
The only workflow that should be a system default is "jira" - the read-only workflow. Another workflow could be copied and modified from that workflow, and it may say that it's the default workflow in the description, but that doesn't mean it is - that's just the description.
Custom fields aren't applied to workflows - they're placed on screens, and available in certain issue types or projects. However, the default when adding a custom field is "any issue type" and "global context", so if someone doesn't bother to restrict it, that's how you end up with custom fields popping up everywhere.
They *could* be from Bonfire - it adds its own fields to JIRA - but if they are, they're identified in the name: Bonfire URL, Bonfire Screen Resolution, etc.
There's no one page that shows you your defaults, but the system default screen, for instance is called "Default Screen". If you make a new project, it will be created with the default everything, so the easiest way to get all that might be to just create a new project and then look at what it has.
Hope this helps!
