My Goals:
I wanted to create multiple sprints with multiple boards for my teams.
What I Did:
Create Jira Classic Scrum Project, Created multiple Kanban boards with components and filters for teams and one main Scrum board for Me.
now every team has its separate board.. and I have everything what i needed.
Issue:
now issue is when I create a new Ticket/Issue it goes to To Do..
I want it to be shown with the status of Backlog
Because Backlog is present under my sprints.. so the issues go to Backlog here but with the status of To Do.....
..
IF i change my workflow i.e Backlog -> To Do -> In Progress -> Done
i have to create another column in boards as Backlog which i dont want...
please guide what should i do?
Hi @Abuzer Mehdi ,
For boards you have three options:
I think you are looking for option number 3.
What you need to do is to go to your workflow (use shortcut keys: g+g --> workflow) and make sure you have the statuses you mentioned. And make sure new issues go to the status backlog
Then go to your board > settings > columns and move the backlog status in the backlog column:
Now you'll still have a board with three columns, but you will also have an menu item backlog, in which you can manage and rank your issues you want to see on your board.
Good luck!
thanks for sugesstion but that will create multiple backlogs per board...
so what i did is I just renamed the workflow steps and things are fine now thanks mate..

If I understand this correctly, all you need is to rename the "To Do" status into "Backlog" in the workflow.
Let me know if I misunderstood, so I can help better :)
