Hi all,
I am testing Time in Status Reports app in Jira. I noticed in the app's settings that you can set a working time (common). It reflects all screens. However, in the app documentation I founded that there are User Level Settings : User can override Global Settings, by changing the settings from any of the app pages by clicking on the gear icon as below. The settings are per user and are cached locally on each user’s machine.
Does anybody have tried it? Does it "catches" the issues the user is working on or what's the user's purpose and how it reflects to the reports?
Thanks in advance!
This is Rahul from RVS Support, the makers of Time in Status Reports app.
Many thanks for trying out our add-on.
We have provided settings at 2 levels. One at Global level which the Jira Admin can set and the other one at user level, through which the user can override the global settings.
For eg.
Global Settings : Admin has set the working days as Mon to Sat
User Settings :- User1 has set the working days as Mon to Fri
User Settings :- User2 has not modified any settings.
Result :
User 1 will see reports based on working days Mon to Fri
User 2 will see reports based on working days Mon to Sat
I hope this will clear your doubts. If you have any further queries please email us support@rvsoftwares.in
We can also get on a zoom call to discuss further.
Thanks
Rahul
Hi Rahul,
Really appreciated your reply here!
Can you specify that he will "see" the reports based on working days Mon to Sat - what if nobody has made changes on Saturday?
In fact I am curious if this user works on Saturday what will show up in the reports for a user, which has the Global Admin working time?
I have couple more questions but will continue with e-mail conversation if you are OK with that.
Best regards,
Magdalena Zhisheva

Many thanks for your reply.
Regarding the query, if sat is set as working day then the app will count the working hours for calculating the time in that particular status or time with each assignee. Even if nobody has made any changes on sat.
Since the app calculates time in each status, it will add up all the "working hours" of a "working day " which are set up in the app.
I hope I am able to resolve your doubt.
If you have any further queries, please mail us at support@rvsoftwares.in . Will be happy to answer all your doubts.
