I have a Workload Pie chart, with a filter that looks at all standard level issues.
We do all our original estimates on the subtasks of the standard issues. This way, the actual original estimate of the standard issue is zero, but the sum of original estimates is the sum of the original estimates from its subtasks.
When setting the pie chart to show original estimate by issue type, using the filter for only standard issues, the sum of the subtasks original estimates is not aggregated to provide an idea of the estimates on these standard issues.
The pie chart will be blank.
I need a way to display the sum of original estimates by issue type, to determine that I am planning to my capacity.
You would need the statistic by "Σ Original Estimate" in this case, but as far as I can see the Workload Pie Chart gadget of Jira does not support this field...
A solution would be to search on Atlassian Marketplace for an app that provides such gadget.
In case you want to use an app, our Great Gadgets app offers some useful gadgets for your use case.
By using its Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget you can generate this stat and display it in form of tables, heat-map tables or charts of various types.
To get this info, the gadget should be configured like this:
Danut.
Hi Thomas - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
is the original estimate on the task not the sum of the original estimate on the task plus the some field of the sub tasks represented by the sigma?
