Dear Community,
i recently spotted a behaviour that i was not aware of.
On logging Time, e.g. "1h" whatever, it substract the given value from the starting date. ((now)-1h).
i was used to that start date is just plain (now) ...
does anybody can tell me if i can change this? (Have admin privileges)
thank you in advance!
Hi @Hannes,
I am not entirely sure I understand your question correctly - but I seem to get from it that you are having timezone issues somehow.
If you have site admin permissions, you should be able to verify the default time zone settings for your site via Jira settings > System > General Configuration > Edit settings > default user time zone.
However, if a user has a different setting specified in his/her user profile, that setting overrides the default. See this related thread for a bit more background.
Hope this helps!
Hello Walter,
thank you for your advice! i'll assume that it is correct. I have checked it nevertheless to be sure, it is set to Europe GMT+1, Berlin - looks fine so far.
But this wasnt my issue after all.
In the past, we were using Jira on premise.
We were used to enter a worklog where the entry get the timestamp = (actual time).
Now, it is (actual time) minus (workLog).
The idea behind this seems clear to me so far, but some collegues got to know it the other way and want the old methology back.
best, Hannes
