Wrong email for Usery, how to change?

We have a user, and his emailadres is (example ofcourse ;-) )

J.User@jira.nl

He logged in, and everything was fine

After a while he got logged out, but his company's emailadres is

John.User@jira.nl

So he does not receive the mails for a password reset.

We have the Cloud JIRA, but we don't have the managed accounts.

How can i (org-admin) change his emailadres? Or reset the password so that he can change his emailadres himself.

If anyone can help, let me know, Please

As org admin, you can't change the email address of a user.  They can only change it themselves.

One thing you could do is:

  • create a temporary email J.User@jira.nl in your company's email administration (separate from Jira)
  • let the user change his email in Jira to John.User@jira.nl
  • remove the temporary email
