Hello everyone, my name is Tehreem and I was trying to add a new colleague to a project but received this message:
You have reached the maximum number of users for your plan.
Remove existing users or upgrade to grow your team.
I've tried to delete an old inactive profile from the project, but had no success, although, I'm already using standard JIRA plan. As per my knowledge, we can add up to 35,000 users in standard plan and currently, active users in my JIRA are 141.
How can I solve this without having to upgrade my plan?
Hi Tehreem - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You get this message when you exceed the tier of users for which you are paying - not the total capacity of the system.
Check your billing to see what tier of user count you have paid for and increase that if necessary. You can also make other users inactive to reduce the license count. Deleting an already inactive user will not increase your licenses.

Have this same problem. When I remove another "active" user I still can't reactivate someone who is suspended. All product are Premium plan.
I tried to suspend an existing user and add them back - failed. Now someone who had access (and needs it) doesn't have it.

We have the same issue. We deleted a bunch of users that no longer worked here, made some inactive and now we cannot make them active on out Premium account!

@John FunkI'm on a free account. It shows only 4 users (even tho there are only 3).
Regardless, the free account is supposed to allow 10 users.
BUT I AM GETTING THE SAME ERROR.
It appears there is a system issue. Can you please inquire and advise as to what we can do about it?
Thank you.
