access to context variables via custom fields

Hello,

I'm trying to make a parent's property visible on a subtask.

Is there a way to do it without knacking with core scripts?

I'd love a solution based on custom fields, I have Jira toolkit so I'd have access to custom properties. 

Anything like parent:property on the default value of a custom field?
