All my jira projects are deleted. How can I restore then? Whre can I find a back up of it?
Hello @Ada Kara
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
When was the last time you accessed your Jira information?
Have you been using a Free version of Jira, or a subscription that you pay for?
If you have been using a Free version, if you don't access Jira at all for a period of 120 consecutive days then Atlassian with cancel your subscription. They will send the site administrator emails warning of the lack of activity, and an email when the subscription is cancelled.
There is a period of time after cancellation of the subscription when it is still possible to reactivate it before the data is permanently deleted and it can no longer be recovered.
Refer to this page for information on reactivating the subscription:
https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/reactivate-a-subscription/
If you subscription is not in a cancelled state and you can still log in to the application, but there are no projects present, do note that Atlassian has recently changed terminology and now refers to Projects as Spaces. Make sure you are looking in the correct place.
If you still see no items under the Spaces (or Projects) heading, check with the other administrators of your Jira instance to see if they deleted the projects.
Hi, Ada!
Before assuming your projects are deleted, check if they might be archived or in the trash.
To check archived projects:
Go to Jira settings → Projects → Archive
(You need to be a Jira admin to see this). If you find them there, you can click Restore to bring them back.
To check the trash:
Go to Jira settings → Projects → Trash
Projects stay in the trash for 60 days before being permanently deleted. During that time, you can click Restore to recover them.
Let me know if this helps! ☀️
