auto adjust dates in a ticket

Hi,

 

In our project, we are using two date fields in JIRA tickets. One is due date and another is target end date. Stakeholders are required to provide due date and my team manually sets target end date to give stakeholders an indication by when they need to provide all details for implementing the ticket. 

We are noticing that many a times stakeholders will move the due date to a future date and I would like to have a capability to automatically adjust target end date. e.g. if a ticket originally had due date as 15th December and target end date as 1st December and stakeholder has changed the due date to 15th December then target end date should automatically change to 15th Dec. 

 

Any pointers will be highly appreciated.

Please check Jira smart values - date and time page and also Jira smart values - issues page. There are functions to calculate the diffs, add days or see previous vals.
