I want to auto-fill the field with the current computer name, is it possible?

No, it is not possible by default.

The computer name is deep in the OS. The browser should not be able to interact with the OS without serious wizardy.

As a workaround you could integrate your instance with Active Directory use the user profile plugin to import an ad attribute to identify the PC.
