best practices to lock down jira customization's relating to Jira add-ons

I know how to lock down the Jira while maintenance is going on.

Just join an environment where everyone in the team has a global permission to edit add-on and custom fields and am looking for a way to limit the users from what they can do and what not to do each time they are log in

Hi Lola,

Can you elobrate your question please, are you trying to lock the requests for new plugins or locking the fields ? And also is it during maintenance? Or if you trying to disable certain add-on features you can do it in manage add-on fields by disables the features you don't want to use by users for every add-on
