board diferent projects and have more columns that statues

Hello, 

I have one board. With different projects with diferent status.

Can i mix both despite they have different statues?

And another question. ¿Can i have columns in a board without having so much status?

I mean, just sothing visual but not changing the real status.

1. Yes, you can assign several status to one column
2. Columns are always used to change status. You can have empty columns, but they cannot be used, so that is not very useful.
