can not view Jira task from Fisheye

Rick Moeller July 16, 2018

When I click on a link in an issue under Activity - Source,  Fisheye opens and I can view the commit information.

When I look at activity in Fisheye and click on the Jira issue link I get the error message below.  Why would the link work in one direction and not the other?

"Can't display issues

Either you don't have access to view them or they don't exist. Please contact your system administrator if you believe this is incorrect."

When logged in as administrator in Jira the Application links page shows the link to Fisheye to have the status "Connected"

Usually, when you see this kind of error, the user accounts are different between applications, and your session in Fisheye does not have the same credentials as your session in Jira.   Taking a closer look at your 2nd screenshot, it doesn't look like you are logged into Fisheye.  We can see the Log in button in the top right.  This is likely the reason for this message.

In order to view most issues in Jira, from Fisheye, you have to be an authenticated user in Jira.  If the application link is using an OAuth token, this can be used by another application, but you are expected to be logged into that other application (fisheye) first.

Try logging into Fisheye first, and see if this helps resolve this.

If it does not, can you tell us more about your application link settings?  For example, what kind of authentication mode is set for both the incoming and outgoing links?  Are your usernames/passwords the same between Fisheye and Jira?  Or are they different here?
