can we have two different screens based on roles for "edit" button for a single project

koushik katta November 15, 2018

I have requirement to create two different screens for "edit" button functionality .

Assignee and Project lead should have two different edit buttons, where the fields are different in both the screens . As i need to restrict fields for assignee which are in Project lead screen . can we make that possible . i tried doing that from workflow transition but it's taking much hard work and not sure the final out put may help me or not .

Not without code.  The screens are based on the issue type, not roles (and it rapidly becomes a mess if you try to do it by role, as things like mandatory and optional still apply by issue type)

You could botch something if you have one of the Apps that modifies screen behaviours.

you can use the Scriptrunner Behaviour here to achieve this.
