This usually means the field does not have a searcher associated with it.

As an admin, go to the field in the list of custom fields and click "edit".  Is there a searcher llisted in there?  If there is one available in the drop-down, select it, save and then re-index your installation.

If there is no searcher available, you'll need to check with the author of the add-on what the plans are to add one.

Have you added the field to all Projects ? or to any specific one ? If it's added to any specific project, you woudl need to start with Project = xxxx.
