change the key of a Jira project

Hi,

Go to Project Settings -> Details and update the Key.

If i do this change, the  background index will be limited to the issues of the project?

No.  You can change the key as Thomas and Aleksandr said.

You can build the index in three ways:

• Full locking index (all issues)
• Background index (all issues)
• Project re-index (which will only index a project)

You should perform at least the project index after changing the key, but a full background re-index is recommended in case you've got issues outside the project that link into it.

you can change the key in the project's settings. Look at the "Details" page.
