cloned task doesn't contain needed fields

Dawid Kowalik March 11, 2023

I try to clone the epic depending on the options selected in the markets field. Unfortunately, the fields in the cloned Epics do not copy.

Hi @Dawid Kowalik

I'm Luka from codefortynine.

If you don't mind using a third-party app our Deep Clone for Jira app allows you to clone issues (including Epics) with all their field values.
You can use Jira automation to trigger the cloning process by using looping transitions.
If you want to clone only particular fields, as your screenshots imply, you can clear unwanted fields with the Clone and Edit feature.

Let me know if this would fit your use case or if you have any further questions.

Hi @Dawid Kowalik

Try to change the copy to "Copy from trigger issue".

Let me know the results.

As far as I could see in your rule, its all correctly configured.

@Dawid Kowalik

In the Project field - instead of using "same project" choose the project from the dropdown. Have seen this issue in other cases as well.
