I tried to compare in a filter the original effort with the time spent and JIRA claimed that this is an invalid comparison (The value 'timespent' for field 'originalEstimate' is invalid) . I would like to figure out all tasks which took longer than the estimate this way. Any thoughts?
Hi René,
Try JQL language & the Keyword "workratio" (available on my jira 4.4.4). I use it to identify jira where I spent more time than expected. ("workratio >100").
Hope this help.

Hi, "workratio" do not take account the original estimate & time spent in sub-tasks :(

WorkRatio is calculated as follows: workRatio = (timeSpent / originalEstimate) x 100
