copy workflow

Greetings, if I copy a workflow rename it and is on the invalid status - and then, rename the flow and edit the flow.  Would this affect the original project?

No, it will NOT have any impact to the original workflow if you follow above steps. 

The changes will be applicable only to this inactive workflow and again for getting this changes mapped to any JIRA project, you will need to map this workflow to a workflow scheme and then to JIRA projects.

 If that workflow is inactive and if you made any changes to workflow it will affect any of the projects in the system. 

In case, if that workflow is associated (active workflow) any of the projects then it will affect the projects that are associated in the JIRA system.
