I've been looking in the community for the answer on how to link to a document on an internal network drive (pdf, vsd, xls, doc, etc) but the only answers I find are related to Confluence. We are using JIRA cloud and not Confluence.  Is there a way to do this?

Hi Laura,

I understand that you are using Jira Cloud and want to be able to create a hyperlink to a document/resource on a network drive.  Unfortunately, right now this is not something that Jira Cloud supports.  There is an existing feature request for this over in JRACLOUD-26419 - Non-HTTP links are not recognized as Links in the markup language.

And unfortunately again, there is no work-around for this problem.  I also tried to see if there were any add-ons in Marketplace that might help here, but so far I have not found anything that appears to be related to this that could help here.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but so far I can't seem to find a solution to this one.  I would recommend watching that JRACLOUD ticket, and voting there.  Should a solution or work-around become available, it seems likely that issue will be updated to reflect that.

Andy
