custom field doesn't display on card - similar to posted

Hi, 

I have 2 boards.

When I go to configure the card layout in one of them certain custom fields do not appear in the dropdown menu (although they do appear in the issues and all). 

In the other board, these custom fields do appear and I can customize them to be shown in the card layout.

Is there any possible workaround for this problem?  I've been investigating for a long while now comparing differences and I don't have the answer.

What type of field is not appearing, and do you already have them on the screen?

If " they do appear in the issues and all" then why are you trying to add them again?

tnx.  These are custom fields I'm trying to view as one of the 3 fields that can be displayed in board cards.  The problem is that they are not selectable in the dropdown menu that enables to choose these 3 fields.

When I open these cards in their extended view  these custom fields do appear and this is just illustrating that the fields are well defined.
