dashboard favourites menu

Hi,

Does anyone know of way to remove or hide the favourites menu that appears on the left hand side of screen when you access a dashboard. ? 

We would like to be able to hide the menu in the same manner as on the filters screen - once you select a filter the filter favourites are displayed on the left hand side of screen but can be hidden by using  the << symbol.   Actually, when you cursor over the << on the filter panel it says  ' Undock the filter panel so it hidden when not in use'

this has been a long-term annoyance for me also. Have tried the add-on and it seems to work well.
