defining a modified English language package

sblnc February 1, 2018

Dear community,

I am setting up a new Jira Project and my company isn't using Jira the common way. They are not happy with the word "issue" everywhere, that's why I need to change it to "Entries" or something similar. Not my question, as we have a lot of projects, this change should only be done for one Project (or one user group). The only solution I have found is to modify a language package and install it. I want to use the default English package and change "Issue" everywhere.

Is there any way to install a second English package with an other name by myself? And has anyone got experiences with "translating", modifying and installing custom language packages? Or has anybody a better solution than using a custom Language package?

Hope somebody can help.

Thanks.

Hi Stjepan,

You can install customized language packs, for example, you could get a English Pack and modify the words and sentences that you want.

In the below documentation, there are more information, regarding to installing language packs in your instance.
