difference with 2 classic projects

Sébastien Almiron June 12, 2020

Hi,

We have created a new instance of confluence cloud to make some tests and we see differences between this one and our main one.

The new one is better and seems to mix classic and next-gen features, i.e for changing statuses of an issue via a dropdown menu like you can see below:

jira test 1.pngjira test 2.png

Does anyone encounter this as well and how to make my projects in classic mode on my main jira be like the classic mode projects of my test jira (knowing that in both cases, it's the same version, without any modification)

Thanks :)

Seb

Hi @Sébastien Almiron,

In the first case, it is the standard "old" look of Jira Issue.
In the second case, the "New Jira issue view" is switched on. More information about this look can be found at What is the new Jira issue view?

Unfortunately, the new look does not yet allow you to display all things like the old look. You can find out what is possible here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70555

HOW TO TURN OFF THE NEW JIRA ISSUE VIEW:

To turn the new issue view on or off in Jira Software and Jira Core for now, head to Your profile and settings () > Personal settings and toggle the switch for the New Jira issue view.

Cheers,

Pavel

Many thanks @Pavel Junek

I didn't think of that because for both instances I use the same profile and therefore the same configurations.

Oh, I see, I also found this note in the new issue view settings (ON or OFF toggle):

Note: The new issue view is on for all business boards and next-gen projects, so this won't affect them.
