dynamically change date format by locale

My client is a multinational company has office in more than 50 countries.

I am now implementing Jira/Confluence for the client, and they need date format set automatically in any possible way. (locale from PC settings, user settings ... or whatever)

 

Do you have any ideas?

We´ve the same requirement, people are working from different countries on the same instance but date format can only be set to one single format? Doesn´t make sense from my point of view as user settings regarding location information are useless in that case...

Any ideas for a workaround?
