In a project, how do i equate closed with resolved, so the summary chart will have the closed issues show up as resolved?

Your workflow needs to set the resolution as you go into "closed" and blank it as you come out to a non-closed status.  You can do that with workflow post-functions, or for the "set", you can also put a screen on the transition, with the resolution field on it.

If you've got "broken" issues (closed with no resolution yet), you can bulk-edit to re-open them after making the workflow changes above, or you could add a transition from closed to closed that sets it, or you could temporarily put resolution on the "edit" screen, bulk edit them, and remove the field (you must not leave it on the edit screen, you'll break more issues)
