google.site.verification.key in my advanced configuration

Not quite sure where did this configuration come from - I am on Server 7.8 . Is this something to worry about ?

Hi,

This is used if you choose to use the Google Webmaster Tools - now named Google Search Console.

I haven't used this feature personally, but what I understand you can register your Jira site in the Search Console, enter the key generated from the Search Console in Jira to be able to bring results back to Google for monitoring, indexing search results on google.com etc.

So u basically input the key in Jira if you configure Google Search Console to index your Jira instanse - is what I understand of it, without have tested it myself.
