There is no Free subscription for Align.

Even on using a paid version you need to contact Atlassian Sales for an Align subscription.

Looking at the page describing the Atlassian products that can be used for free, I don't see Jira Align listed.

I don't think you can use Jira Align for free. When I click on the product link in the Atlassian website it takes me to the Strategy Collection page.

You could click the Contact Sales button there to get more information about get access to Jira Align.
