i am using jira version 7.2.1.. i cannot see the backlog column in the kanban board of mine. how do i get one? Even if i create a new column in the board, i cannot view it. please help!

I'm afraid the Kanban backlog is only available from Jira Software 7.4.x: Introducing the Kanban backlog.

You can check the matching relationship between the Issue state and the Kanban column.
