how notification whenever and new "Fixversion" is created

Hello,

We would like to get notified whenever new project versions are created. Seems JIRA does not have this kind native event. Is there a way to monitor it? Could Script Runner Listener be possible? How?

It is possible to use ScriptRunner for it. Use the Send A Custom Email listener and set the VersionCreateEvent for the listener.
