how to Lock jira issue using rest api

HI ,

i am creating C# application and i want to lock the defect from editing while processing the defect in the application .

Please let me know how to do this using Rest API .

You can't.  JIRA doesn't have any lock function built into it

Your could move the edits into the workflow, and use restrictions to effectively "lock" the issue to the current editor, but this is messy, complex and often leaves you with hanging locks because your users often don't complete their edits.
