how to change resolution field for Closed transition

As part of our team's workflow, we have a status of Closed which closes down the story. In addition we also want it to automatically change the resolution field to Resolved - that way gadgets will display that the story was closed and resolved.  

Been reading up everywhere, but finding it confusing where I need to set this post action

and followed the steps outlined, to viewing the Workflow for the team, step 5 states "Find the transition that should set the Resolution", so I selected the Transition of Close issue, navigated to the Post Functions tab but the Add post function button is greyed out so I cannot change it.

Any Ideas?

Hi @Richard Smart,

Your workflow seems to be active and you need to edit to create a draft of the workflow before you can add the post function.

You don't have the workflow in "edit" mode, look for the edit button, then you'll find add is not greyed out.

thank you both - seems that the step 4 - If appropriate, create a draft is actually a mandatory step that I ignored because I took If appropriate to mean that was optional.

Working now & resolution updating successfully. Thank you for saving me more time.
