how to create customized type of projects in jIRA?

We have primarily two type of projects in Jira

1. Software
2. Business

Can we add other customized project type also ?? if yes how??

You can add new types of project, but only by writing an App that provides the new type.  This is not a trivial thing to do - you'll have to code for all the different things your new type might do differently to the current three types.

Most people who think they want to add a new project type usually mean something less:

• They actually want to categorise, not have a new type (so they would be using Scrum/Kanban/Business inside areas such as "health care", "buildings", "IT" etc).  As Yogesh has said, that's what the category is for.
• They want different project templates, not a whole new type.  A project template is again coding an App, but a lot smaller than a whole new type, and most of the code is just "set up these fields and screens, copy that workflow, use this list of issue types" etc.

What do you mean Customize?

It's not related to software/business/It help type..then what type it is?

customized means as per user requirement .

Let say i want to create a project & type of project is " Health Care"

Health Care is not a type of project, the project should be either business, software, devOps or support desk type...to segregate the projects use the project category...
